MEET HEATHER

Heather is a Landscape Designer and Licensed Landscape Contractor and Entrepreneur. A native of Los Angeles and mom of 4 daughters, Heather started as a pediatric nurse at UCLA and did landscaping as a hobby. Things changed quickly when she was discovered by a HGTV producer and the next thing she knew she was on TV. 15 years later, Heather has been creating beautiful landscapes and is one of the only women owned and operated landscape contracting businesses in southern California. Building on success, she founded Lumber + Linen, an outdoor furniture, pillow, and accessory line with unique eco-friendly products that support artisans around the world.

WHAT’S YOUR DREAM PROJECT/CLIENT?

I was recently inspired by Patrick Blanc’s green wall designs in Paris. I am now dreaming of doing homes and businesses all over Los Angeles. My dream client is one who believes in sustainable living and lets us help them live more resourcefully and has their outdoor environment decrease their overall carbon footprint on the earth.

WHAT DOES BEING LIBERATED MEAN TO YOU?
Liberty to me means that I do things that scare me but I just show up anyways. Every time I face a fear, I feel freedom.
